Old Hand-Painted Floral Plate with Feathered Rim
This is a 9” ivory china plate. It is hand-painted with an exotic floral spray in shades of red and yellow and two-tone green leaves. It has ½" deep turquoise plain rim and a ½" gold with blue raised dots on feathered rim inside the plain rim. Then, every 2 1/8”, there is a half-circle of blue and gold design. The outside of the plate has a rich gold rim, which is worn in places. The back of the plate has a brick red WI. There is a purple football-shaped mark that says F & C Oslel – 45 Oxford St. London. The plate is in good shape except for the outside gold rim and a spot on the large leaf that looks like someone touched it before it was dry. (11-19-23-C)
